It's the first day of October and already the temperatures are dropping!

Today is also World Habitat Day.

1st October has been designated by the UN to reflect on our surrounding environment - not just the natural world, but also our towns and cities. Today is also about recognising that everyone has a right to a safe habitat and what we can do to ensure that everyone has warmth and shelter. It is important to recognise that we have the power to shape the future of our own habitats and we should try and make sure that everyone is safe.

At St. Augustine's we run our Housing Programme to help people who are having problems with their housing, whether it is finding somewhere to live, paying for bills or reporting discrimination and bad treatment.

We believe that everyone should have the right to safe, warm, clean and fair housing.
