Financial Donations

Our Centre Members face rebuilding their lives in the UK surrounded by unfamiliar systems far from family and friends. You can show your commitment to making them feel welcomed and supported by donating funds for our vital projects.

You can choose to make a one-off gift or sign up to regular giving. Regular, reliable income enables us to plan for the future and develop dependable services for those that need it most. Choosing to give in this way also means that you can manage your own finances in a predictable manner.

Tip: If you are a UK tax payer, you can increase the value of your donation through the Gift Aid scheme. Please remember to tick the appropriate box when making your donation. If you are planning to donate by bank transfer, please contact us and we can provide you with a Gift Aid form.

Fundraising

We are so grateful to people who set up their own income generating activity like a sponsored walk or marathon. You may like to do this entirely off your own back but if you need support, we can help you get started and will share your call out on our social media.

Donating Items

We welcome the following good quality second-hand items:

Phones, laptops and tablets for us to refurbish in our tech studio. This is run by centre member volunteers and items are distributed to individuals and families to learn English, do school and college work and keep in touch with loved ones.
Bicycles. We work in partnership with Active Calderdale to refurbish donated bikes and loan them to adults and children who wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford one. We also offer help learning to ride, provision of locks, lights and helmets, bike maintenance classes and group bike rides. We are not currently accepting children's bikes as most will sadly end up in long-term storage. Nonetheless, Capital of Cycling and On Trak, are both charities based in Bradford, that accept donations and do amazing work with the local Bradford community.
Clothes and shoes. We are always looking for men’s shoes/trainers and clothes (size small-medium). Right now we also need men's and women's tracksuits/jogging bottoms, jeans, trousers and pyjamas. Depending on space we sometimes take good-quality children’s clothes and shoes, too. Please contact us before dropping off clothing as our storage space is limited.

We would also really appreciate the following items - not used or second hand please

Men's and women's winter coats and jackets.
Jeans and joggers for men and women.
Men's shoes or boots size: 42-45
Women's underwear size: 10-12-14-16.
Bra size: 75-80-85.
Children's hats under 2 years old.
Toiletries: Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste, moisturiser, nail clippers, sanitary towels, new hair brushes and combs.
Underwear: Mens', womens' and children's pants, bras and socks - NEW ONLY PLEASE

To donate any of the above goods please contact Arsalan to arrange delivery or drop off at our Centre from Monday - Friday, 9am - 4pm.
