Grow Wild – Flowers to the people

Saturday 23rd September ,  1pm – 3pm at  Halifax Fire Station, King Cross Halifax

Creating corridors of colour in urban spaces can really help to engage, excite and inspire the local community to participate in activities which help to protect your garden, back yard, allotment and any green space as well as encouraging them to care for and delight in the nature around them. The project also offers excellent opportunities for education, improving health and well-being and raising awareness of environmental issues in the local areas and beyond.

Day Programme

1.00pm:             Introduction and welcome

1.15 – 1 45pm: What we have done in Calderdale – what we want to do within the community

1.45 – 2.15pm: Seed sowing and harvesting workshops with FREE seeds from KEW GARDENS!

2.15 – 3.00pm: Walk and talk sessions around the Calderdale Corridor of Colour within King Cross

Why not join in the fun and help to make our community that bit brighter?!
