On 3rd May, Councillor Ferman Ali, Mayor of Calderdale will take a courageous plunge by Skydiving to support us!

Councillor Ali is jumping thousands of feet out of an aeroplane to raise donations and awareness of our Community Centre.

The Cause: We are based on Hanson Lane in Halifax, and are a community centre for anyone who needs help, advice or support. We respect and value all individuals, welcoming the vulnerable and caring for all, regardless of faith, ethnicity, background or any other factors.

For over 50 years we have offered a warm and welcoming environment for people to access support and advice from friendly workers and volunteers. We aim to help with basic needs and hope to build confidence to encourage participation within the community and to prevent isolation. Our services:

·       Welcome Café & Community Lunches

·       Advice & Support Service

·       ESOL/English Classes

·       Housing & Destitution Support

·       Employability Support & Training

·       Volunteer Programme

·       Social, Health & Wellbeing Activities

·       Outreach Work

·       Advocacy & Campaigning

The Mission: To exceed Councillor Ali's target of £2,000 in donations to support St. Augustine's and to help us to continue our work.

You can help!

Please help by sponsoring Councillor Ali and/or spreading the word! All donations go straight to the charity and each donation makes a massive difference to us - however little or large!
