Introduction to Asylum Support

This course is designed for you, if you have worked with people who have claimed asylum. It will help you understand more about their entitlement to accommodation and financial support from the government in order to better support destitute asylum seekers.

Course contents:

·        Support for asylum seekers

·        Emergency support for asylum seekers

·        Support for refused asylum seekers

·        Other forms of support

·        The legal definition of destitution

 Study mode: self-pace, it will take you approximately 1.5 hours to complete.

By the end of this course you will have an understanding of the asylum support system and who can access this support. Your knowledge will be tested and you will receive a certificate confirming completion.
