The number of people getting Coronovirus is rising again across the UK. You must continue to keep yourself and others safe.

Wear a mask when in public and when visiting St Augustines - we have free masks at St Augustines which you can collect.

Government guidelines from Wednesday 14th October tell us that you CANNOT:

CANNOT meet people you don’t live with anywhere inside a building. This includes houses, pubs, restaurants, places of worship, shops, community centres or any other public building, unless they are part of your support or childcare bubble.

CANNOT meet more than five other people outside.

CANNOT visit Care homes (other than in exceptional circumstances).

However, you CAN:

CAN walk, drive or use public transport to go to the shops, work, college, school, cafes etc. but you must wear a mask.

CAN meet up to FIVE other people who you don’t live with outside, in parks, private gardens, pub and café gardens, the St. Augustine’s garden, but you must keep two metres apart and wear a mask at all times unless you are eating or drinking.

CAN take part in organised sports and exercise activities OUTDOORS

CAN go with you household or support bubble to cafes, restaurants, pubs, shops, places of worship, community centres but you have wear a mask unless you are eating or drinking. On public transport you must wear a mask.

CAN attend funerals and weddings with up to 30 other people as long as you keep your distance from people you don’t live with and follow other guidelines.

St. Augustine’s Centre – Current Services

Support Centre Update

We now have a welcome cabin outside the Centre, which is our new reception area. It is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10am to 3pm. You can also call our advice line on 07743045624.

If you need help and come to St Augustine's, please wear a mask and queue outside the cabin and wait to be seen by the duty manager, who will write down your request and pass it onto a caseworker. Someone will call you to help over the phone or arrange an appointment to see you in person.

Community Centre Update

Hot takeaway meals are being provided Monday and Thursday from 12:30 at the Centre. Look out for more information on our Facebook and Twitter.

We also have a Gardening group from 10am – 12noon every Tuesday. All welcome! No experience needed – just turn up in warm clothes and we will look after you.

We have a ‘fixing and DIY’ group on Wednesdays from 1pm – 3pm. We mend things that are broken at St Augustines, do woodwork, paint walls. All welcome! Call Mel on 07928863468.

We plan to organise some small walking groups through the winter, for all ages. If you are interested call Mel on 07928863468.

Nursery Update

The nursery is open 9.00 – 12.00 for morning sessions and 12.30 – 3.30 for afternoon sessions, Monday to Friday. We are full for the Autumn/Winter term but there are places from January 2021 onwards.

We are observing all coronavirus Covid-19 advice and guidance in-line with the Government and Local Authority. If you would like to know more, please contact us.
