The Mayor of Calderdale Councillor Ferman Ali will be doing a skydive in support of St. Augustine's Centre and the work we do here. His mission is: To exceed the target of £2,000 in donations and he currently has 6% of this target! Please help by sponsoring Councillor Ali and/or spreading the word! A celebration of equality, strength, inclusion and community as we #pressforprogress for #internationalwomensday

Happy International Women's Day 2018 Yesterday we celebrated International Women's Day at the Queen's Road Neighbourhood Centre. Women from our community came together to share their stories, their different cultures and music from all around the world. The result? A great big party and a room filled with laughter, dancing and a truly uplifting sense of empowerment! A fashion show took place and was led by Sisters United, a grass roots group, made up of strong Women who support and empower one another. Mayor of Calderdale will Skydive for St. Augustine’s Centre

April 2018 will see Councillor Ferman Ali, Mayor of Calderdale take a courageous plunge by Skydiving to support us! Councillor Ali is jumping thousands of feet out of an aeroplane to raise donations and awareness of our Community Centre. Ceilidh success!

A massive thank you to all who came along to our Ceilidh that has kick started our 50th anniversary celebrations, to all our Volunteers who helped on the night and the run up to the evening to the amazing Peacework band that kept everyone dancing the night away, and a BIG thank you to all who supported us with raffle and tombola prizes. Celebrating The Power of Words on Holocaust Memorial Day

Today is #holocaustmemorialday2018 Calderdale Interfaith Council in partnership with Calderdale Council is commemorating the Holocaust Memorial Day 2018 on Monday, 29 January for  1.00pm – 2.00pm at Crossley Heath School, Savile Park, Halifax HX3 OHG. Crossley Heath School pupils will be participating in the commemorations by displaying artwork, reflecting on the work they have been involved with and sharing poetry. Rudi Leavor (born 31 May 1926, Berlin, Germany) a Jewish community leader from Bradford will be attending.
