About Laura Hinks

Laura joined the St Augustine’s team in October 2016 as Office Administrator supporting the team in the office with administration, finance and business needs. Laura has experience in delivering various projects and events, most recently as Office Manager and Project Coordinator for Marketing Halifax. Her studies and extensive employment background have allowed her to take on some really exciting opportunities within the arts, community and educational environments which in turn led to her travelling & teaching English abroad in Australia and South Korea. She loves being a part of the St. Augustine’s family and now looks after Communications and Engagement. Laura will be on Maternity Leave from 22nd June 2018.

We’re at the Piece Hall this Saturday!

  Come and join us at the Piece Hall this Saturday, between 11am-1pm this Saturday 14th July! The Communities of Calderdale exhibition shows portraits and stories of people who call Calderdale home, be that through choice, birth or dispersal via the asylum system. We have various pop-up photography sessions where members of the public can add their face and stories to a growing collage and add to our story of St. Augustine’s Centre over the years. Our wonderful Welcome Programme Volunteers

#50goodideas for #50yearsofstaugs The welcome programme continues to provide an advice drop-in 4 mornings a week and welcome newly arrived asylum seekers into Calderdale. The practical support of helping people navigate the asylum system is complimented by our support to help people feel welcomed, settled, and a part of our community.
