About Laura Hinks

Laura joined the St Augustine’s team in October 2016. Laura supports the team in the office with administration, finance and business needs. Laura has experience in delivering various projects and events, most recently as Office Manager and Project Coordinator for Marketing Halifax. Her studies and extensive employment background have allowed her to take on some really exciting opportunities within the arts, community and educational environments which in turn led to her travelling & teaching English abroad in Australia and South Korea. She loves being a part of the St. Augustine’s family and has substantive drive to make a real difference through her work at the centre.

The world’s largest children’s Christmas project

We are a collection point for Operation Christmas Child and have lots of beautifully wrapped Christmas shoe boxes ready and waiting to be filled. Through the Samaritan's Project, children less fortunate will receive a gift based on need regardless of their background or religion. By the end of 2016, 65.6 million individuals were forcibly displaced worldwide as a result of persecution, conflict, violence, or human rights violations. That was an increase of 300,000 people over the previous year, and the world’s forcibly displaced population remained at a record high.
